It’s been just a few months since the launch of Acer lconia W3, the world’s first 8″ Window 8 tablet. The company has already decided to replace Iconia W3 with a new successor. An Acer spokesperson, Sterre Swank said that a new version of the tablet will launch in September, with an updated IPS display and a slimmer, lighter design. Though there is no other word on what else we might get to see upgraded in the new successor.
Who doesn’t want an improved tablet, right? But this means that the current Acer Iconia W3 would be outdated soon. This is something that might convince the current Iconia W3 users to switch over to other tablets. This would be a bad move on Acer’s part and they would have to keep in mind that what is more important, current user base or an improved product? In my opinion they should wait till the new Intel Atom (Bay Trail) processor arrive, as the current Clover Trail processors are lacking on performance.
