As Muslim’s around the globe cherish the month of Ramadan, Microsoft Devices has introduced exclusive Ramadan apps to the Lumia and Nokia X platforms. During the month of Ramadan, the demand for Ramadan apps increases as people like to keep track of Sehri, Iftar or Prayer timings. Ramadan apps are not only limited to that, you can also listen to Quran recitation from renown reciters, read and share ayat and hadith or do more.
Ramadan Kareem app provides all the tools and the info you need in this holy month. The starting page of the app offers a very nice view, where you can see the remaining time in the next prayer and Sehri/Iftar. The prayers timings are all based on your location and selected calculation method. Ramadan Kareem app also features a very nice Wiki section where you have read of the day, a fatwa section, Holy Quran, Islamic wallpapers, cooking recipes and a section for non-muslims.
Ramadan Kareem is one of the best apps for Lumia devices and i’ve been personally using it for quite a while now.
Athan is another Ramadan app that focuses more towards prayers. It has a really nice interface which provides fun and easy way to track your prayers. Prayers timings in the Athan app are also based on the location you select. Unlike the Ramadan Kareem app, since Athan is more focussed towards prayers, hence it also offers reminders for prayer times. There are quite a few other small helpful tools as well, such as:
- Qibla directions
- Islamic calendar
- Contact info + directions for nearest mosques
