OPPO is constantly trying to gain brand recognition and market share in Pakistan. To back their efforts, they’ve recently launched a new device called the OPPO Neo 5s, which is a Dual-SIM 4G LTE smartphone. Neo 5s is a mid-range smartphone which costs 19,990/- PKR (~200 USD) and is available in only two colors: Black and White. The review unit which we have with us for this OPPO Neo 5s unboxing is the black version. So let’s get started, shall we?
OPPO Neo 5s comes in a cardboard box with a thinner cardboard wrap. The outer wrap has the Neo 5s renders and brief specifications on it while the inner box is almost clean with just an OPPO logo in the middle. Pulling open the box, you’ll find the Neo 5s underneath which is the charger, micro-USB cable, stereo headset and the quick guide.
First impression of the device isn’t bad for a mid-range smartphone. OPPO Neo 5s feels pretty solid in hand because of it’s metallic structure and 135 grams of weight. It also fits quite easily in hand and is totally comfortable to use. Backside of the OPPO Neo 5s is quite charming and seems to take its inspiration from the Sony Xperia Z series. A metallic strip which goes around the device, only adds to its charm.
Despite all the good things about the design of OPPO Neo 5s, one thing which might really trouble you is the misplaced power button. If you’re left handed than you should have no problems while for right handed people, accessing the power key — on the left side of the device — seems really troublesome.
That’s it for the OPPO Neo 5s unboxing and first impressions. Feel free to share your thoughts about the device in the comments below and do stay tuned for a full in-depth review which will be coming soon.
