OPPO holds a glamorous launch event in Lahore

OPPO Pakistan — in a glamorous launch event, yesterday — launched three new OPPO smartphones: Mirror 5, R7 Lite and R7 Plus. All 3 devices have immediately started selling in the market with OPPO Mirror 5 and R7 Lite costing 29,990/- PKR while the R7 Plus costs 39,990/- PKR. Interestingly, R7 Plus costs $499 internationally which means Pakistan is the lowest priced market for OPPO’s R7 Plus.

OPPO’s first-ever launch event in Pakistan had quite a big audience including celebrities, distributors and technology enthusiasts. Launch event was nicely co-hosted by Faizan Haq and Sophie Anjum.

Mr. Long Gang — OPPO Pakistan’s CEO — during his speech emphasized on a new OPPO and it’s GLOCAL strategy. He explained that distributors will see better policies and more localized promotions. He also mentioned that consumers will notice that OPPO will be bringing global technological trends in a more localized fashion than before. He also said that,

In the short future we will have more local campaigns to interact with local market, because we understand — that as a renowned brand — we are not here to just sell our smartphones; we are here to be part of society as well.

During the launch event, OPPO also collaborated with renown fashion designers Munib Nawaz and Shiza Hassan. Both of them launched some new fashion designs for men and women, with some technological elements in them. Here is a glimpse of the fashion show as well.

    naah. koi khas maza nahi aya. all overpriced except R-7 Plus, and even that won’t be a big success due to its display size.
